Damario Johnson

A 36-year-old man was fatally shot and a child also was shot Wednesday at the Greystone Apartments, the site of two other shootings, including a homicide, earlier this year. Damario Johnson of 241 Miller Court in the apartment complex was identified as Wednesday's homicide victim, St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr. said. Johnson was pronounced deceased at 9:59 a.m. in the emergency room of Touchette Regional Hospital in Cahokia Heights. Dye said the shooting occurred at Johnson’s address. The child's condition was not immediately released and and no arrests have been announced. Other details about the shooting also were not available, Cahokia Heights Police Chief Thomas L. Trice said at the scene.
