Deandre Pickens

Deandre Pickens of Bel-Ridge, 22, was shot in the 3500 block of Harper Street. He died at the scene of the shooting, about 1 p.m. Wednesday. Coreyon Blanks and Christopher Taylor Jr. are accused of committing the murder. Charges say a Nissan pulled up to the area in an alley, and the two men approached the vehicle. Surveillance video shows Blanks reaching through the passenger-side window and pulling out an object. Pickens then started to get out of the driver's seat of the Nissan, and Taylor shot him, charges say.
