Dirico V. Washington

Dirico Washington, 16, was shot on Feb. 3 at about 5:30 p.m. in the 100 block of North 81st Street, outside his Belleville home. Police said he was shot multiple times. He died at Memorial Hospital, authorities said. Joseph P. Flagg, 17, faces charges for Washington's murder. Two other suspects, both adults, were arrested and released pending investigation. Police said the suspects and victims knew each other; preliminary findings indicated the shooting centered on a transaction involving firearms and cannabis. Flagg also faces felony charges of unlawful sale or delivery of a firearm, unlawful possession of a handgun under age 18 and unlawful delivery of cannabis.
