Emil Schmidt IV

Emil Schmidt IV, 52, of the 300 block of Greycliff Bluff Drive in the Oakville area of South County, died on Nov. 29. His death is regarded as a homicide, county police said in a news release. The release said officers responded about 11:20 p.m. Nov. 18 to a call about a domestic disturbance at Schmidt's home. According to a preliminary investigation, police said, Schmidt was incapacitated in "a physical struggle" with another man who also lived in the home. Schmidt was then taken to a hospital.
