At about 1:30 a.m., 51-year-old Gregory Hickman is seen on the camera walking from the Lion's Den Bar and Grill to a bus stop, police wrote. A half hour later, police said the camera caught Lorenzo Love, 30, shooting Hickman three times and then leaving the bus stop. Police were called to the area by a ShotSpotter activation and Hickman was pronounced dead a few minutes later. While investigating, officers found the four bottles of Honey Wild Turkey and the bottle of water that Love had purchased at a gas station just before 1 a.m., police wrote. Less than 20 minutes after the shooting, officers stopped and talked to Love at Pattern Drive near Bellefontaine Road, near the scene. He was arrested later Wednesday after officers were able to view the surveillance footage and identify Love using information from his alcohol purchase. Love, 30, was charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action. He was arrested Wednesday on a $500,000 cash-only bond, according to records. Hickman lived in the Hi-Pointe neighborhood in St. Louis, according to police. Love lives in north St. Louis County.
