Jason Manes

A man was fatally shot Saturday night at a hotel in south St. Louis County. Officers responded to a call about 9:30 p.m. to the Americas Best Value Inn at 6602 South Lindbergh Boulevard. The man was dead when officers from the Affton Southwest Precinct arrived, according to Mary Schmitt, a spokesperson for the St. Louis County Police Department. The victim was identified Sunday as Jason Manes, 47, of Imperial. Manes was involved in an altercation with a woman at the hotel, police said. The woman has been taken into custody and is being interviewed by detectives, police said. The hotel is located near Interstate 55, next to a Costco warehouse and a Hobby Lobby store.
