Updated Monday with victim's name. ST. LOUIS — A Jefferson County man was charged Friday in the fatal shooting of a 38-year-old man Thursday afternoon in the city's Tower Grove South neighborhood. Addyn Alen Karnes, 19, faces charges of first-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon in the case. Police said the shooting took place about 3 p.m. Thursday in the 3700 block of Winnebago Street. The victim, Kevin Karnes of St. Louis, was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at a hospital, police said. According to a probable cause statement, a witness said Karnes was the only person with a gun in the house prior to the shooting. The statement said Karnes identified himself in a video as a person running away from the scene. Court records indicated Karnes was being held without bond.
