Lolina Long

OLIVETTE — Police say two people found dead in a home here Tuesday were a couple and that the boyfriend killed his girlfriend and then killed himself. Police identified the two dead as Golden Edmond, 23, of Florissant and Lolina Long, 20, of Olivette. Edmond shot and killed Long and then killed himself, police said. The two were found dead in the basement of a home in the 8800 block of Chisholm Court shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday. Officers went there in response to a report of a disturbance at the house. Long's mother called police and told them she had barricaded the basement after hearing gunshots and believed that Edmond had killed her daughter, police said. Police officers tried to call down into the basement from the top of the stairs for several minutes before entering, police said. They found Edmond on top of Long with a black handgun in his hand.
