Luke Kimble

A man who was found with gunshot wounds inside a crashed vehicle has been identified by St. Louis police as 77-year-old Luke Kimble. About 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, officers were called for a shooting in the 4500 block of Ridgewood Avenue in the Bevo Mill neighborhood of south St. Louis. Kimble was inside the vehicle, and a second man, 24, was nearby and had also been shot, authorities said. Kimble was pronounced dead at the scene. He lived in the 5800 block of Lillian Avenue in St. Louis. The younger man was taken to a hospital. Police did not disclose his condition.
