Marilyn Emilien, 31, was fatally shot. She was found inside a Kia with shattered windows. A man in his 30s was also in the car and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Aakiem C. Thomas, 22, is charged in the murder. Court documents say that Thomas and his brother came out of their mother's home armed with guns. A man was arguing with their mother. The man returned to his car and Thomas fired two shots into the car, police said. As the car drove away, Thomas' brother also fired several shots at the car. As police investigated the shooting, Thomas approached officers and admitted being involved, police said. He was arrested.
