Louis Felton, 45, is accused of killing Marlow Williams, 49, police said. Williams was found shot several times Dec. 6 in the living room of a home in the 600 block of Fremont about 5:30 p.m., police said. He died of his wounds hours later. Police said Williams was let inside a home on Fremont, where someone confronted him and shot him. Police, in an unrelated weapons investigation, found out that Felton's cell phone was in the area of the shooting at the time, according to a probable cause statement. Felton, the day after the shooting, called a detainee at the St. Louis jail to tell him he committed the murder, officers said in the statement. Felton denied being at the crime scene when officers interviewed him, they said. Felton is charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.
