Monzelle Mason

A 50-year-old man was shot to death early Sunday by a woman who had been threatened by the man after he produced a gun, Belleville police said. After an extensive police investigation, police said, the St. Clair County state's attorney's office declined to file charges against the woman, 25. Police said the man, Monzelle Mason, was shot multiple times. The incident took place just before 1 a.m. in the 500 block of North 40th Street.
