ST. LOUIS — Human remains were found in a vacant lot in the 5600 block of Labadie Avenue in the Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood, police said Thursday morning. The discovery was made by city work crews at about 8:30 a.m., police said. Police said homicide detectives are responding in the case, along with the FBI. Police said a search of the entire lot would be carried out with the aid of a cadaver dog from the city fire department. Editor's note: At the end of 2025, police listed all of the homicide victims for the year in a spreadsheet provided to the Post-Dispatch. In that sheet, this victim was identified as Raymond Shaw, 41.
