A 71-year-old man was stabbed to death. When police responded to the home, they found the victim lying on the ground with stab wounds and a slit throat, according to court documents. Steven Brown, 73, was found dead just after 4:30 p.m. Thursday at a home in the 4400 block of Sexauer Avenue. James Minor, 46, admitted to stabbing his stepfather, police said. Officers had found a trail of blood leading fromt he victim's body to the basement, where Minor's bedroom was, police said. Bloody clothing and a bloody knife were found in the basement. Minor's mother told police the clothing belonged to him and that his car was missing from the driveway, according to documents. The next day, Minnesota authorities pulled Minor over while driving near Fargo. He allegedly had blood on his clothes and glasses, as well as multiple cuts on his hands. According to documents, when deputies approached the car, Minor said, "You got me. I did it."
