A gunman wanted in a fatal double shooting here Monday night killed himself hours later as sheriff's deputies approached, police said. The victims, Yeisir Buster Concepcion, 42, and Elizabeth Hernandez-Sanchez, 33, both of Warrenton, were in a romantic relationship, the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis said in a news release Tuesday afternoon. The gunman, whose name has yet to be released, was previously in a relationship with Hernandez-Sanchez, the squad said. The squad, a regional task force, is assisting the Warren County Sheriff's Office in investigating the series of events that led to the three deaths. The investigation began with a fatal double shooting at a rural intersection near South Stracks Church Road and State Highway M, the squad said. The shooting scene is about 55 miles west of St. Louis. Sheriff's deputies called there about 8:30 p.m. for a report of a "man down" found two victims with gunshot wounds, police said. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The two were in a vehicle on South Stracks Church Road when they were shot, police said. Sheriff Kevin Harrison asked for assistance from the squad, which helped identify a person of interest in the shooting and broadcast a description of the person's vehicle to surrounding police departments, police said. At about 3 a.m., sheriff's deputies found the person of interest at a truck stop in Foristell, police said. The city is about eight miles east of the shooting scene. When deputies approached, the man drew a gun and fatally shot himself, police said. No officers or bystanders were injured.
