At 8:45 p.m., St. Louis police responded to a call for a shooting in the 6600 block of Arsenal. Officers found Abdule Campbell, 20, who had been shot. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

March 3, 2026 • Carlyle • Clinton County

Local police responded to a home in the 2100 block of Fairfax Street in Carlyle, about 50 miles east of St. Louis, for a welfare check shortly after 8 a.m. and discovered a Sadie L. Tull with a single gunshot wound to the head who was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man killed a woman, then was shot by police after 8 p.m. in the city's Skinker DeBaliviere neighborhood, according to St. Louis police. The dead woman was identified as 67-year-old Mary Jackson.

During a police chase, the driver of an Audi made a U-turn on the ramp from Interstate 170 to Interstate 64 east, then collided with a city police cruiser. Two people in the Audi were killed; the two officers in the cruiser were injured. The driver of the Audi was charged with murder.
