Alvaro Perez Vargas

Alvaro Perez Vargas, 42, of Caseyville, Illinois, died at the hospital after he and another contractor shot at each other on the doorstep of a home. The other man, 54, was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the chest. Officers responded at around 3:50 p.m. to the 3700 block of Juniata Avenue, where they found the two men.
