Latoya Smith

Officers were searching for a missing adult when, around 1 p.m. detectives found a body in the grass just off of the St. Louis Riverfront Trail, north of Humboldt Avenue, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said. After notifying family, police publicly identified the woman on Sunday as 42-year-old Latoya Smith, who was reported missing to the department on Dec. 29. Homicide detectives are handling the investigation.
