Prosecutors charged a man on Saturday with chasing a bicyclist down in an alley and hitting him with a car in south St. Louis. Edward Terrill Duncan, 50, is facing charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action after prosecutors say he struck the bicyclist and then fled from the scene. Police say that around 11 p.m. Thursday, Duncan was driving a 2012 Toyota Scion westbound down an alley behind the 3500 block of Itaska Street. Then, charges say, he hit the bicyclist with the vehicle in an alley behind the 4700 block of South Grand Boulevard. He then got out of his car and left the scene. Duncan later told police he had gotten into a confrontation with the bicyclist before chasing him, charges say. Police hadn't released the identity of the bicyclist as of Saturday afternoon. Duncan, of the 4600 block of Louisiana Avenue, was ordered to be held without bond.
