Evelyn McDaniel, 65, faces charges of second-degree murder and armed criminal action. She was being held in custody without bail, according to court records. Authorities say McDaniel stabbed her husband, a 65-year-old man, at about 10:15 p.m. Saturday in the 3900 block of East Lexington Avenue in The Greater Ville neighborhood. The man was found just inside a home with a stab wound to his chest. He was pronounced dead at a hospital, St. Louis police said. He was not named in court documents.
