Death rate due to opioid overdoses by county (2014-2018)

Although the opioid epidemic has touched nearly every community in the Missouri, overdose death rates have been highest in the St. Louis metropolitan area. The city of St. Louis had the highest rate – more than 50 opioid overdose deaths per 100,000 people.
