Are pools opening in St. Louis? Yes and no.

Editor's note

The pool season looks a little different in 2020, with some pools deciding to close for the season as the world tries to navigate the pandemic. Some pools have posted tentative dates for opening, and others are waiting to get more direction before they decide. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has said there is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools, hot tubs, spas or water playgrounds. But there are many other areas of contamination on a crowded pool deck, so check for restrictions. We will keep this site updated as we get information.

St. Louis County recently released guidance on when pools could reopen — June 15. Before visiting one of these locations, please call first.
