Bar Les Frères

One of the most significant nationwide restaurant trends of the past year or so — and one that looks set to continue through 2017 at least — is an unapologetic return to classic French cuisine. In other words, exactly what Bar Les Frères has been doing since restaurateur Zoë Robinson and chef Ny Vongsaly opened the restaurant in 2012. Here you’ll find excellent versions of lobster bisque, trout almondine, coq au vin and more of the dishes that you never stopped loving but maybe didn’t encounter as often as you would’ve liked, served in a setting that’s as memorably quirky as it is romantic.

Hours: Dinner Monday-Saturday

Opened: 2012

Must order: Lobster bisque ($11)
