Cleveland-Heath

Cleveland-Heath continues to evolve in the years since founders Jenny Cleveland and Eric “Ed” Heath sold the restaurant to current owners Kari and Keith McGinness. In 2019, Alex Henry became Cleveland-Heath's executive chef. An alum of several acclaimed St. Louis restaurants, Henry might be best known for his time at Ben Poremba's Nixta, where he overhauled the menu and was a semifinalist for the influential dining site Eater's “Young Guns” awards. He is putting his touch on Cleveland-Heath's menu — I enjoyed a new sandwich overstuffed with citrusy cochinita pibil — while retaining its general comfort-food vibe and such signature items as the pork chop with jalapeño-cheddar bread pudding.
