Lutheran Church Extension Fund-Missouri Synod

Religious Financial Institution

About

LCEF has served as the financial extension of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) since 1978, offering funding and resources in support of the Church. When you invest with LCEF, you’re providing for the creation and growth of congregations and ministries across the country. LCEF empowers LCMS ministries with every dollar invested. And with nearly 60,000 investors, we’ve been able to make a difference for thousands of ministries. We provide customized loans and support services to new and growing ministries as well as loans for Rostered Church Workers who dedicate their lives to sharing the Gospel.

Benefits

The overall wellness strategy of LCEF is focused on the physical, emotional, spiritual and financial well-being of our employees. Through our benefit provider, Concordia Plan Services, 100 percent of the health-insurance premiums (including dental and vision) for all employees and their dependents are paid. In addition, a monthly credit is provided that can be applied to a health savings account or other benefits such as accident insurance. Vested employees are enrolled in a defined pension plan, and workers may choose to invest in an employer-matched 403(b) retirement savings account. Other financial opportunities (savings accounts, investments, home and car loans, planned-giving and estate-planning assistance, etc.) are available through the LCMS Foundation and the Lutheran Federal Credit Union. Additionally, LCEF offers employees the opportunity to invest in an LCEF savings account with free checking privileges, including a free initial check order.
