Provident currently provides a range of mental health services through three programs: counseling, life crisis, and after school. Our counseling program provides office- and school-based counseling services to youth, adults, and families; teen empowerment groups for self-injury; and treatment programs for ex-offenders of domestic violence and sex offenses. Our life crisis program provides a 24/7 crisis intervention and suicide prevention hotline; support services and case management for individuals at risk of suicide or who have attempted suicide; support groups for individuals who have lost a loved one to suicide; community education and outreach; and a social media website, Feeling Kinda Blue, that offers a place for people with depression to find connections and support. Our after school programs provide a nurturing and safe environment for elementary students in 10 low-income schools, along with a hot meal, tutoring, and enrichment activities such as theater and art programs.
