Last updated: Oct. 10, 2023

This map shows how much, on average, flood insurance premiums for single-family homes eventually will increase under FEMA's new pricing system. For many policyholders, these increases will occur gradually, since the law doesn't allow increases of more than 18% per year.

Notes: The "average premium in 2022" reflects what policyholders were actually paying as of Sept. 30, 2022. The "risk-based average premium" reflects the full-risk rate under FEMA's new pricing system. This map leaves ZIP codes uncolored if there were five or fewer policies, or if FEMA provided no data.
