The National Weather Service said Wednesday its preliminary damage surveys show that five tornadoes struck southeast Missouri and southwest Illinois on Sunday. Two of those were rated EF-3: one had a 42-mile track stretching from Coffman, Missouri, to Chester, Illinois; the other located near Fredericktown, Missouri. The three others were smaller and rated EF-0 or EF-1.
