Kathryn Sokolich

Kathryn Sokolich, 63, of the 900 block of Alpine Ridge Drive in unincorporated St. Louis County, died after being hit repeatedly over the weekend by her 70-year-old brother, who was the woman’s court-ordered guardian and had grown frustrated taking care of her, authorities said. St. Louis County prosecutors charged her brother, Anthony Sokolich, with first-degree assault. He is being held in lieu of $250,000 cash bail. Sokolich lives at the same Hickory Sound condominium as his sister did.
