ST. LOUIS — Authorities are now investigating a man's November death as a homicide. Deanthony Smith, 46, was shot in his lower left leg around 3:30 p.m. Nov. 1 in the 1400 block of Market Street in downtown, police said. He died weeks later, on Nov. 26, and the medical examiner conducted an autopsy. Police said his death was ruled a homicide due to complications of the gunshot wound on Friday.
