A man who claimed he wasn't paid for tuckpointing work has been charged with murder after police say he confronted and killed Timothy Moore over the debt earlier this month. Desante A. White, 28, is accused of fatally shooting Moore on Sept. 19 at 2726 Miami Street. Moore, 32, was found dead in the street. He lived in Gerald, Missouri, in Franklin County and worked to rehab houses in St. Louis. On Thursday, St. Louis prosecutors charged White with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. He was held without bond Friday. He did not have an attorney listed in court records. White lives in the 3300 block of Ohio Avenue in St. Louis. Moore was shot twice. St. Louis police Detective Brandon Wyms said White admitted firing one bullet at Moore while Moore was standing, and a second bullet after Moore dropped to the ground. White told officers that he had done tuckpointing work for Moore and hadn't been paid. White said when he went to confront Moore about the payment, Moore ran up to him and tried to take his keys. White yanked his keys back, pulled out a gun and shot Moore, police said. A witness told officers that a man named "Te" had shot Moore, and police tracked down White with information from another witness.
