Micah Koster

Police found Micah Koster, 51, unconscious and bleeding on Thursday in the backyard of a home in the Kingsway East neighborhood. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital. Police say a trail of blood led from Koster's body to the front porch of Colin Walker, 32, in the 4700 block of Lexington Avenue. Walker was charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and assault after police responded Sunday morning to a call for a suspicious person. Another neighbor told police he saw his neighbor, Walker, beating someone on his porch with a blunt object that morning. The neighbor said Walker said something along the lines of, "You are going to steal my money while I let you stay in my house." Walker initially denied knowing the victim before admitting he let the victim stay at his house sometimes. Walker is being held without bond. He was previously convicted on felony accounts of receiving stolen property, marijuana possession and unlawful possession of a firearm.
