Tawan Ward

A man was killed in a shooting early Sunday in St. Louis' Downtown West neighborhood, police said. Tawan Ward, 25, was fatally shot shortly before 5:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of Pine Street. Officers responding to a report of a shooting found Ward in the street, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Ward lived in the 4800 block of Anderson Avenue, in the city's Penrose neighborhood, police said. Police did not release more details Sunday.
