A man died nine days after he was assaulted April 1 in the city's Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood. Police said he was found just after 4 p.m. in the 5600 block of Cote Brilliante Avenue. He had suffered blunt force trauma to his head, but he was listed as stable at the hospital, police said. His condition worsened and he underwent surgery to repair a brain hemorrhage. He died April 10, and his death has been ruled a homicide. Police on Tuesday did not release his name and said they have not identified any suspects.
