A 29-year-old man was killed in a shooting Friday night in the city's Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood, according to police. Officers responded shortly after 10:30 p.m. to the 3700 block of Aldine Avenue. They found the man on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds to the head, arms and right leg. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene. Police haven't identified a suspect. An investigation is ongoing.
