Alex Taylor

Two men were shot to death in Country Club Hills, a small north St. Louis County municipality, police said. The incident took place about 10:25 p.m. in the 5600 block of Gatesworth Avenue. Police identified the victims as Demetrius Wagner, 29, and Alex Taylor, 29. Country Club Hills police found Wagner and Taylor when they responded to a call about a shooting. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Further details have not been released. Wagner lived in the same block of Gatesworth where the shooting happened; Taylor lived in the 1300 block of North Garden Drive, police said. Country Club Hills officials asked that St. Louis County detectives take over the investigation.
