Elmore Bibbs

St. Louis police said the man, 50-year-old Elmore Bibbs, died at a hospital about a month after he was shot. Bibbs lived in the Lemay area. He was shot in the torso on the night of April 25 at 1199 Riverview Boulevard. He was hospitalized for nearly a month in critical condition in the intensive care unit. While hospitalized, Bibbs identified his assailant from a photo lineup, St. Louis police said in court papers. A 37-year-old man, Bryce Willis, was charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal actions and unlawful possession of a firearm. Now that Bibbs has died, prosecutors are expected to upgrade those charges.
