One person is dead and another is injured after a shooting in Bridgeton. Police responded to reports of a shooting at a home in the 4000 block of Avery Lane just before 6 p.m. Officers found two males suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to the hospital. One of them was pronounced dead, Bridgeton police said in a news release. Police say the two people involved knew each other.
