Krishon Merriweather

A St. Louis man shot six years ago has died of his injuries, and St. Louis police are now classifying the shooting as a homicide. Krishon Merriweather, 48, died Agu. 20 as a result of his injuries from a 2020 shooting in the Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood. The St. Louis Medical Examiner's Office determined that his death was the result of injuries he sustained in the shooting and informed St. Louis police the next day. Merriweather was shot multiple times in the 5800 block of Highland Avenue. Police arrived around 6:30 a.m. on June 10, 2020, and he was transported to a hospital and treated for his injuries. Later, he told police that he had been walking in the alley when a man tried to rob him and then shot him. Police released no information about any suspects and asked for the public's help with tips.
